Thank you very much! There’s a bit of a debate on seats ongoing on Twitter and these numbers are helpful.

442s have 338/32F so;

10.442 676/64F
10.444 666/64F
12.450 792/48F

But 442 and 444 have intercity layout and there’s no guarantee that every middle seat will be occupied.

So if hypothetically NO middle seats whatsoever are occupied, the 12.450 capacity is about 630. But if realistically about half are used there’s still a useful increase over a 444 or 442...

I suppose if it was possible to tell the passengers in the timetable or NRE what type of stock it’s formed of, passengers could then chose between guaranteed a seat, or a chance of a comfy seat.

Does the wireless charging actually ever work on the refurbished Desiros? I travelled on fully refurbished 450112 today, and sat in the declassified FC, tried my phone on the wireless charging area and it failed for the second time I've sat in FC on a 450(fully refurbed). Does it ever work for others on this thread?

I've had some success, but it does seem pretty hit and miss.

Starbucks stores in London have them too, and they don’t work either !

A bit weird installing technology that doesn’t work ?

I know it might sound dumb, but a surprising number of people I know have just assumed the pads are broken when their phone doesn't actually do wireless charging! But there do seem to be issues with how reliable the commercial chargers seem to be.

My phone works on them if I take it out of its case. The charger location is a bit too far away for my liking. If I'm leaving my phone unattached to anything on a table I want it closer to me.

They've all worked for me with my phone out of it's case. As you say it's abit far away, but then it needs to be shared between the two seats. It's a tough call.

450012 was released from Eastleigh 1-6 and has been replaced the same day by 450543.
This is the first of the former High Capacity units to be dealt with. When released, it will revert to its former identity of 450043.

Is number reversion definitely confirmed now, I think it has always been assumed it will happen.
(I need it to happen to make my post about 450054 in the 'palindromic numbers thread' come true...)

444040 has received nameplates saying 'D-Day story Portsmouth' not sure whether it is tempory or permanent but sure is a nice touch by SWR.

Would be nice for 444011 or 444041 to be done because they're my stalker's!

Still haven't done the fab 444 (444018)!

Went on my first fully refurbed 450 a few days back. I like the new seating trim but was quite surprised that SWR installed standard sockets rather than USB ports. They would have been less clunky too. All IMO of course; a good job overall.
