Never considered that! But the one I'm thinking of is perhaps a bit less likely to yield fruit in our climate.

It's not Appleby or Pear Tree or Plumstead or Lime Street. And it's in Lancashire ...

GusB, you have it! Your turn.
Thank you. By the way, cherries are successfully grown much further north, but I digress. Here's the next one:

It's the word of God, I would like to add!

John Griffiths is right, Dunoon it is. (Du = you in German, noon is a "high time") Apologies if it hasn't actually got a station, I just looked down the list of departure points on Network Rail and assumed it was a station!

Dunoon is a port. It appears on the ScotRail timetables because of the Caledonian MacBryne sailing from Gourock over to Dunoon.

I'd say "Coldham Lane"; but that's a traction maintenance depot, and a junction of lines, in Cambridge -- not a station at all.

Further "thinks" -- Chilham? It's by the route of the Pilgrims' Way long-distance trackway.

Both excellent suggestions, and I'd have given it to Coldham Lane for meeting about 98% of the requirements for as correct answer even though it wasn't the one I had in mind, but as it's not a station I'm hampered... Sorry.

Clue: it's not National Rail.
