LNER Intercity 91119 advanced gen request

Hello all,

I hope the mods don't mind me setting up a thread off the TOPS request thread but looking for some gen for this coming weekend in advance.

I'm taking someone on a surprise trip from Saturday 15th to Wednesday 19th for an early 62nd birthday trip, and on Sunday 16th I'm taking him from York to Shildon, going from York - Darlington and vice versa on an 91 set, as he's never been on on.

The icing on the cake would be if any of the services had 91119 on it as that really would make his day.

Would someone be able reply on here on Sunday morning as to what 91119 is doing please? If needs be we will go to Shildon early and get 91119 back from Darlington to York.

If it's not out that day then the alternative is to just see it at York station on Monday as I have a day in York planned.

I know that no-one can tell me what's it's doing yet but I will check this thread on Sunday morning for any gen posted.

Any help would be highly appreciated and I know he will highly appreciate it too as a surprise, knowing that he probably will never see it again.

it's been parked in platform 2 at Doncaster with its pantograph down since at least yesterday morning if that's any help. This afternoon Blaydon Races (115) was sat in front of it, pantograph up.

Hi 91119 was at Crewe open day at the weekend
If you are on Twitter tweet LNER and ask them that’s what I did to find if it was running through Doncaster

It was on the 0706 London to York today. Should finish at Kings Cross at 2332 tonight so out of London tomorrow.

I am on Twitter I assumed it's 'manned' 7 days a week?

I'm coming up from Wiltshire so unable to be able to pop out and see it, and Sunday is when I plan to go to Darlington and back, if not Monday/Tuesday I'll be in York.

Beat me to it, a 331 was in platform 2 this morning at Doncaster

I'm completely out the loop on these new stuff, are 331s in service now from Doncaster daily?

Never crossed my mind but wondering about taking him to Doncaster on Tuesday, reasonable spotting station still isn't it?

You would be just as well parking in the Frenchgate Centre adjacent to the station: the traffic in Doncaster is usually only bad in the peak hours. The 331s are not in service yet but there have been several in the station and sidings around; yes it is a good spotting station; there are many food options in the Frenchgate Centre upstairs while the ones in the station and on the concourse are rather dearer.

Thanks jonnychips only thought of the bus as it doesn't look far off the A1(M) which is where we'll be coming down from, and cheap potentially too. He might prefer the train in which case we'll just go from York, will put it the suggestion forward on the day, Tuesday if it looks good.

Variety to see that he wouldn't have seen before, and hopefully, looking at the diagram thread, a VP185 set too before that goes.

Thank you Crossover, might see one about potentially either case?

Only one VP set, NL65 (43075 & 43061), unless there's an EMT set hired in

At the moment, 91119 is planned to finish at Neville Hill tonight.

If it does, due to Hambleton diversions tomorrow (non-electrified route), 91119 would remain on Neville Hill all day.

Plenty of time for it to change today yet though.

Edit to above: diagram now amended, planned to finish at Heaton tonight.

So it should be out tomorrow... but what it'll be on won't be known until the day.

43094 - thank you very much it may end up going through York if it's only AM time then will try Monday instead, was hoping to do Yorkshire Air Museum Wednesday but now that's looking wet (which I hope it wasnt) might have to shift the itinerary about

Due to major service disruption, it's now back to ending up at Neville Hill again tonight.

Therefore it almost certainly won't be out in service tomorrow. It may be visible if you catch a train which passes Neville Hill though, depending where in the depot it's stabled.
