Or a battery Class 230.

They could probably do a single-car version from two driving coaches.
Using two driving cabs to produce a single car unit would not be economic use of the D Stock. Vivarail bought whole trains so they are going to have to scrap some trailers anyway.

All it means it’s become dusty. Junk on the pantagraph or metal parts of the train. Makes sense it’s been in service 2005. About time it had those dust removed.
Is this some sort of joke, or do you not understand what corrosion is?

Exterior refurb is now complete on all WMR units.

Now just gotta finish the 350/2s and start the /1s

Would've thought they'd do it at the same time as the 170s and 323s. Although their London Midland livery was different to the rest of the fleet.
Actually when you think about it how would the livery work on those units the placement of the doors doesn’t help tbh

Is it worth adding that 319s are due to leave the franchise? They are just to confirm aren’t they?

Also 350/104 hasnt been refurbished. Wasnt that the unit that only went under repair??

while 106 is currently the only unit away for refurbishment as memory serves

The 319s are a short term gain for the franchise until such time as the 730s for LNWR start to come on stream. Then they'll be withdrawn.
350106 went back from Long Marston to Northampton over the weekend of the 1st/2nd of June following corrosion repairs - all traces of LM livery were gone. https://flic.kr/p/2g6Lv34
350123 took its place. https://flic.kr/p/2g6MTyv

Thanks for the clarification re 350104 though.

No problem. Just thought i would clarify 319s before suggesting incorrect information

The 350/1 movements over the last couple months has been confusing in aspects since LNR are doing different works to them at the same time

The situation with 350/115 also iam not entirely sure on but i gather its not in for refurbishment works so most likely its either had corrosion works or is having it done?

Still think it would be useful mentioning that 319 are due to leave anyway since they are pretty much in the same boat as 350/2

Re LM repaints, as of June the 19th 2019 the following WMR stations still have LM lampposts as far as I know:
  • Shenstone
  • Blake Street
  • Four Oaks
  • Witton
  • Alvechurch
  • The Hawthorns.
While the following LNWR stations still have have them:
  • Lichfield TV (both levels)
  • All stations between Bletchley & Bedford
  • All stations on the Abbey Line
