Hello all

Was hoping somebody could help with the following.....

If i was to take a job offer for a qualified driver at West Midlands trains would I have to be employed for a period of time before putting in for a move to another depot?

Would it be possible to add my name to a waiting list or would a move be only with the consent of management?

Are internal moves more difficult if moving from WMT to London Northwestern or vice versa?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, there is a time period (2 years?) and you only have one lateral move for your time at the company and successive franchises.

Although now that I think more about it, ithe 2 years may only apply to newly qualified drivers

Why not speak to HR and see if they can keep you on file until the depot you do want is recruiting, or at least give you a heads up of when that's likely to be.

Is an option thanks.

Would love to hear from somebody who is a driver, or who knows for sure the company policy on this.

You can move sooner in exceptional circumstances. Another factor would be on how desperate the depot you wish to move to are for drivers.
