It’s a relief for sure!

Depot is on conditional offer email, I got mine the day after my MMI.

interview they ask stuff about you then as what u know about Scotrail ! Ask if u have visited any managers or stations ! Ask if u have any qualities that would be good for the train driver role ! Can’t really remember anything else about mine was back in March ! Sure they is others that will give u more

Jord85, I have mine next Thursday, also in Glasgow, I've been through this thread and there is a lot of stuff in it regarding the likely questions etc. some of which are below:

1. Describe a time where you've had to follow rules & procedures
2. Describe a time where you've been involved in an emergency situation
3. Describe a time you've been on a training course for over 2 weeks or your greatest achievement
4. Describe a time where you've had to work for long periods of time alone
5. Describe a time you've had to solve a difficult problem

Well worth having a trawl through the threads on here though mate.

No I done my first assessment in February but couldn’t make interview and got told my application would be kept on hold

Hi folks.

Bit of a lurker finally saying hello. I have my DMI coming up and I have been looking through endless threads trying to gather any tips/advice and as much information as possible.

If any of you guys who have recently went through it could perhaps PM me or reply I would greatly appreciate it. I know it's been done to death on here but anything that might help I am willing to try/listen to. Even if it's just how things go on the day, or what the interviewers are like, literally any information you can think of I'd love to hear.

Thanks in advance and well done to all the folks who've successfully navigated their way through this process, I really hope I'll get their myself in the near future.

hi all, same boat as the member above. i have my assessments coming up for a shunter job within scotrail. though from replies i have had so far it seems that the requirements for practicing are under a different name.

hoping anyone whop has also done this assessment can assist me with whats required or their real name!

Mechanical comprehension
Technical understanding
Visual estimation.

thats the 3 tests i have to practice.

Can anyone advise of how many Qs are asked & if it's similar scenarios to the DMI ?

There were 6 scenarios and I was asked about all of them. Yes, similar to DMI.

What about the SJE ? 40 Qs in 40 min ?

There is roughly 40 Q's but its not really timed as such. It'll take you about 30 mins.

Computer tests about an hour in total.

MMI after all that if you pass the tests - 20 mins to answer 6 questions and then interview after.

Good afternoon all. I’ve got my DMI next Friday, the email says Monteith house, George square but that’s it. There’s no postcode and I’ve not been able to find it on google maps? Am I missing the obvious here?

Secondly, has anyone in here arranged a station visit for Perth? Is it easy to set up? I work at Craigentinny in Edinburgh so I’m used to being on a depot, however I would like to touch base with a potential new manager before the interview.

I just turned up to my local depot and asked to speak to a manager but he wasn’t about so the drivers gave me a tour round and gave me the general info I was looking for ! Was good and everyone dead friendly
