331006/07/09 on Edge Hill yesterday morning.
First post here, excellent forum BTW.
Saw 331 passing over the viaduct just after Wakefield Westgate this afternoon as we went under to Huddersfield on ex Castleford 153 service, must have been working 5Z61 1706 Wrenthorpe Recp. to Doncaster West Yd Sid No.6 quite good looking unit.
Sorry think I posted in wrong thread ....please move if possible.

I hear the 331s will be one of the quickest emus around.
Three car rumoured to be twice as quick to 60mph than a 333 at 30sec or 37sec for the 4car although I hear drivers won't be using full power at start as it may damage standing passengers. Roll on July cant wait for a ride

Certainly likely the Leeds-Doncaster’s will be 331s from 1st July also
Apologise I should have said for the West side. I don't have up to date info on the East I'd just heard a few weeks ago that training was behind, but I suppose it only needs a small pool of staff to work the Leeds to Doncasters.

There were three parked up at Doncaster this evening between platform 8 and the Plant, numbers 002/5/7 I think, though I wouldn't swear on the Bible.

Wed 26th June 331108 Allerton depot to Neville hill seems to be stuck at edge hill down since mid aft. See

Please note as with the 195s a new thread has been started to discuss diagrams relating to the 331s now that they're about to enter service. We've found that this works better for everyone as it makes it easier to keep track of what diagrams are running (and to request that information) without it getting lost in posts about peoples thoughts on the new units and continuing updates relating to the delivery of them.

008. 108 has been here since March.
Which Depot? Don't think its Neville Hill
008. It’s sat on the arrival road for deliveries by road. That and Lack of flies in the front is the tell tale way of knowing if something is brand new and not merely back from another depot.
All the new stuff arrives at Edge Hill first Harvey. I take units on and off for VT so I see all these units being put together here and just pass it on for anyone who may be interested. The 4 cars then get dragged over to your side of the Pennines eventually. There’s one or two here now which will likely head over to yours, I think the 3’s are staying this side though aren’t they?
Which is why I asked, I didn't think the 3 cars would be sent over this side anyway

Some friendly advice Harvey. If I were you I’d change your tone, You’re extremely abrupt and I don’t know the reasons for that but a little politeness goes a long way when you ask people questions. Ok? I was tempted to ignore your question as you’ve been rude before, but that’s confirmed it, so no more.
I was just being curious as to which depot it was at (plus someone mentioned 331 108 aswell which the other reason I asked)

Fair enough, but it really does come across that way, I am extremely abrupt myself at times and have to reel it in. I could have done it to another poster earlier on. I’ve put a stack of posts on about the other sets arriving at Edge Hill and saying so, so I thought it was obvious that I was at Edge Hill.
