Last Friday, I was returning from Hackney Wick to Christs Hospital. My route was: Hackney Wick to Islington (Overground) > Victoria Line (London Underground) > Victoria to Christs Hospital (Southern)

I paid for my route from Hackney Wick to Victoria by tapping in using my debit card. My route from Victoria to Christs Hospital was paid for my an existing weekly season ticket that I had with Southern.

The trains from Hackney Wick when I arrived at about 17:40 were severely delayed (more than 15 minutes but less than 30 minutes). As a result, I missed the 18:36 from Victoria to Christs Hospital I'd intended to catch and had to get the 19:06, arriving home 30 minutes later.

Simple questions: Can I claim delay repay, and if so, from whom?

The mere fact that you used different media of tickets is not going to be an issue. However, the fact that, presumably, at the time you tapped in (and thereby 'bought' your ticket), the disruption was known about, is going to be a problem. You can't claim delay compensation for delays that were already known about when you bought your ticket. This is one of the cases where having a Travelcard or having a paper ticket beforehand would be useful.

London Overground caused the delay to your journey so you'd need to claim from them.

I'd get a print out of your journey history from the TfL website. Assuming it shows a tap in before your expected departure time I don't see a problem.
