I'm trying to find a map, table, or list, showing the line speed limits along various railway lines, and possible elevation data between stations.

I've tried a forum search but the links are out of date.

Really appreciate any help with this!

Thanks
Sam

Network Rail publish the Sectional Appendix on their website. A search there will find it. That will give you speed limits but not elevation details.

I had previously put in a FOI request for gradients and received the attached file. I have temporarily turned on the old version of my website that still had it mapped: http://railmap01.azurewebsites.net/Public/Gradients

Here's one for speed, but it was already slightly out of date when I got it. The Network Specification has max speed maps as well.

I had also asked for 5-mile diagrams in the past and it was refused due to commercial reasons and had to find another way.

If the above links are useful, let me know and I will copy them over to the new (permanent) version of the site.

An external company prepares the 5 mile diagrams and I assume they are self-financing because nobody can get hold of them without paying.

It's a very interesting and useful map! I'd definitely be interested in seeing them on the new version of your site. I have a copy of the old 1970s BR Main Line Gradients book but it is always a little cack-handed to use when you're out and about trying to quickly find a gradient. A website like yours makes it a hell of a lot easier, though a (massive!) PDF like the Adlestrop map that you could download would be even better.

This is absolutely brilliant!! If you could kindly make them permanent that would be great!!

Quick question what measurement unit are you using on the gradient map?

Thanks so much for sharing this!
