Unidentified one is 110 I think, named Proud to be Northern, like some of the others.

Had a feeling it would be the peak & Doncaster based diagram as the posted Leeds one has another trip on the end to Donny normally

Diagram two seems to be but diagram one appears to be a 32x. Unless anyone has better info on the ground!

As mentioned up-thread, the 06:25 Leeds-Doncaster was a 321/322, I saw it briefly as my service from Guiseley was pulling in. Not sure about later services, but I'd imagine it will be the same unit?

Believe the other is on the 0651 Don-Lds and 1757 Lds-Don as I expected it might be, anyone confirm? Diagram one (above) should go back to Doncaster on the end so unless they've stuck that one something else (RTT doesn't suggest so) then I think that precludes it from 331 operation for now given it's tied into other diagrams

So two 331s have entered service today? But not on the exact Diagrams listed by the OP?

Looks to be that way. The peak extra diagram seems to have gone over instead of the all day diagram somewhat unexpectedly! It'll be interesting to see how this develops whether it's today only or if it's all week.

331110 confirmed as being on the 17.57 peak extra. (I am currently sat on it at platform 12C at Leeds.)

Just alighted from 331106 at South Elmsall which was the 1722 which is part of diagram 2 listed above. I'll not review the unit here, but it is notable that at South Elmsall southbound the rear set of doors only just fits on the usable part of the platform. Imagine that will keep drivers on their toes come autumn!

Did the back set of doors actually release for passenger use as the ASDO should stop them releasing at Elmsall

I didn't see as I was in the front carriage. From what you say it's fair to assume they didn't open. There were two crew members both at the rear set of doors on the third carriage, one of whom was presumably the guard.

As an aside, given the number of units bearing the "Proud to be Northern" branding I don't think it can be considered a "naming" in any sense. The branding just happens to resemble a nameplate. If that's a name then an awful lot of locomotives were "named" Railfreight in the 1980s!

Ignore my earlier posts... was getting my diagrams mixed up

It's Diagram 2 that should have an extra trip on the end... it operates 2B39 2331 Leeds to Doncaster (arr 0016) to finish hence balancing with the peak extra one... which is...
2B54 0654 Doncaster-Leeds 0740
5B54 0746 Leeds-Neville Hill Depot 0756
5B27 1718 Neville Hill Depot-Leeds 1734
2B27 1757 Leeds-Doncaster 1842

From what I could tell this morning, the 06:25 Leeds-Doncaster was still running as a 321/322, albeit still stuck in Leeds due to some delay (eventually left 10 late according to RTT). Is the other diagram starting from Doncaster a 331 again today does anyone know?

Interestingly the 331 introduction yesterday seems to have displaced another 3221/322 to the Aire / Wharfe triangle. I wonder if these diagrams that now seem to be the older EMUs will be the first to see 331s once training / clearance had been completed?

I had this planned for the 331 introduction yesterday, but got tied up with other things, so hopefully I’ll do it tomorrow, Weds 3rd.

2B68 1226 Doncaster - Leeds 1310
(12.29 BYK-12.54 WKF)

1D11 11:03 London Kings Cross- Leeds
(13.01 WKF-13.14 LDS)

1A33 13:45 Leeds - London King's Cross
(13.45 LDS-13.56 WKF)

2B19 1421 Leeds - Doncaster 1506
(14.35 WKF-14.59 BYK)

I’m hoping to take the opportunity to fit in 2 rides on Azuma as I haven’t had chance yet, but looking at prior postings, my return 331 from Wakefield will probably be a 321. Would appreciate it greatly if any regular commuters on the forum could update the status of traction on the diagrams tomorrow.
Thanks in advance for any updates.

Saw 106 arrive in Leeds on the "peak extra" this morning, so ought to be the 17:57 off Leeds this pm. Unless it is swapped, of course.

I imagine they should rotate through NL each alternate day using the peak run as they’ll need cleaning and toilet emptying which won’t happen at Donny (I presume!)
