I am not a fares expert so please bear with me.

I want to travel Hereford to London with a break in the journey in Cheltenham. National Rail suggests that this is a permitted route and that I should be able to make this trip with an off-peak ticket on a Sunday (£43.30).

Am I correct in this understanding and would this entitle me to break the journey for the afternoon in Cheltenham?

Cheers!

Although the unpublished restrictions won't allow journey planners to issue this ticket for early morning travel, it would seem to be totally unrestricted via Stroud.
