Appears to have been an update or something to the data. Loads of alterations on the fleet list sections which is good, but hardly any buses tracking, that were this morning when I checked ! Have been watching the Stagecoach Yorkshire stuff off the list for several days in preparation of my trip next week, but only a fraction showing now.

Btw loads of Stagecoach fleets are/were tracking, but not on the map. Most Stagecoach subsidiaries now but still some missing for First and Arriva, and the rest of NXWM!

I've found Stagecoach Yorkshire to be rather odd of late. The full lists tend to come up later in the day. More recently, last seen is the only information without the services listed (unless you click on the fleet number).

I just hope it’s fixed itself by Tuesday, I was relying on it for tracking down ALX300s in Barnsley and Rotherham - I’ll just have to hope for the best otherwise !

The whole thing seems very strange today. When I checked this morning, I still had some URLs of the MANs I was checking in my history, so tried using them this afternoon and they don’t exist anymore. It seems as if the data has been reset or something, and I’ve found similar problems with SC Warwickshire.

However, this could be a good thing for the places which have more sporadic tracking, where you look through a list to find a fraction of the fleet showing real time. SC East Midlands (listed as Grimsby Cleethorpes) is a good example, as although only a fraction is tracking, they are all showing real time ‘now’ , and there are vehicles doing so that certainly weren’t in the last few days. 10062 is showing on the Lincolnshire list however! I’m sure it will be sorted out in due course anyway, as the developers seem to be making regular improvements which I’m hugely appreciative for! (Wasn’t one of them a member on here??)

If it's any use, at least one of them as been in use on Barnsley locals recently - but I can't remember what service. If you've not seen in after an hour, or 1.5 hours in Barnsley, head for Rotherham and keep your eyes peeled on what's coming the other way.

+1 mate, +1, It's got me my last TM solo to photograph (At the end of my street) and saved me hours already in looking for something that's off the road.

Yeh I’ve noticed Barnsley locals seem fairly common thanks. The numbers tracking don’t quite match up those on allocations but I’ve managed to piece together a list of what’s where. Im still waiting for the day my local stuff gets added - NXWM but it will be a very big task! That’s my plan, yes start at Rotherham most likely then work back into Sheffield via Barnsley, as I understand there’s one at Ecclesfield 22429 normally on the 1.

I’ve noticed First Eastern Counties is now back in a rather fragmented form, for those from that side of the county ! And Stagecoach Fife has been mostly fixed after a long period of little data, with all the new MMCs listed as well as what looks to be some Rennies stuff too

I am led to believe ..

22592 (SF08 GPZ) at Barnsley, and 22860 (SF09 AEL) at Rawmarsh and up to 6 more are coming. If the site is up and running though, you shouldn't have any problems but imminent withdrawal expected. I'm also told the current MAN's are "knackered".

Many Thanks, definitely timed my trip right then. Only 2 out today as per bus times but I guess it is a Saturday

Wish we could see Hull on this tracker on Bustimes. Massive amounts there with EYMS and Stagecoach
I’m personally holding out for one of the big West Yorkshire operators, First or Arriva, to appear.

It’s interesting how it all works, for example Rosso track all services including schools, and even often track dead running, Transdev Burnley and Blackburn buses track whilst parked in the depot, so some buses are registered running a route all day that never leaves the depot. Keighley is more limited, the schools don’t track, so many buses don’t ever appear

I was told by a friend who knows a bus driver at Buses Of Somerset Taunton based that Buses Of Somerset does have the tracker but the driver said the area manager is to lazy to turn it on.

Notice there is a fleetlist on bustimes now for Stagecoach Hull. Shows what routes the buses have been on and what journey. But nothing on the map?

Pretty much every Stagecoach subsidiary tracks in some form now. Some of them being like Hull only on map. I assume they aren’t consistently tracking by location in real time so not enough data to show on map. Still gives a good idea where certain buses are your after.

I have found some rather random companies tracking lately too like Cotswold Green.

A slight change to the map on the bustimes site is that you can only zoom out a couple of levels now (for example Cornwall and a bit of Devon will be visible) which helps with the loading time of the page....also Plymouth Citybus has far more vehicles showing, More in Bournemouth/Poole also show more than previous, National Express coaches also showing countrywide, Oxford Bus Company showing much of the fleet, plus many other whilst not on the map, do show in the fleetlist pages (most if not all Stagecoach fleets for instance, here's Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire https://bustimes.org/operators/stagecoach-merseyside-south-lancashire/vehicles ).

Vehicles which do not track on the map are triggered by someone viewing the live departures screen - for example here: https://bustimes.org/stops/6490IM094

Unfortunately, for the majority of Stagecoach's data, the journey time recorded is just when the data was logged - it doesn't correspond to the actual journey that the vehicle is operating.

To work out what journey a vehicle is operating, you need to know the journey number of the service, which is really only possible if you get a ticket from the driver.

I've noticed that the NXWM WN 49xx E400s have started tracking, only when on certain routes (such as the Kingswinford routes)

I suspect that's because they're Wolverhampton based, the only NXWM depot that's appeared so far.....I do wonder why only certain WN routes appear though, never seen the 1 or their Platinum routes yet....

anyone know why Buses of somerset are not on bustimes yet
There's no local "real time passenger information system" (outside of Bath & North East Somerset), so there are no live departure times on the First app and website either.

What would be really handy is if you could by the headers, so for example "Last Seen" on the example below so we could see guess what's on reserve, maintenance/repaint etc. I love it though, it's saved me hours.

It assumes the right vehicle details are being transmitted - Transdev Harrogate Solo Electric 91 has according to the relevant bustimes list not been seen in service since late May yet I followed it this morning on a 24 to Pateley Bridge so it is obviously using a ticket machine off another vehicle in which the vehicle details have not been updated.

Some Walsall, Coventry and Perry Barry vehicles of NXWM are showing today, first time I've noticed anything other than a handful of Wolverhampton ones showing.....

The list says Arriva Midlands appears, despite not. First Leicester appears very well on the map, all the vehicles appear. Strangely, a few weeks ago, 35173 was appearing as a B7RLE. Slight hiccups but it works brilliantly.

Are all the garages and routes gonna appear on this website?

I'm sure as data becomes available, the site owner will get on it ASAP.

Ticketer's new app should be coming out in the next few weeks, so we might see a few more operators tracking then.

New vehicles are added automatically when the various data sources detect them. The vehicle type, colour, registration, etc, is added in manually by the site author.
