Maps of stations, each accompanied by detailed & thorough collection of images, have begun disappearing from the NRE website. It is not a systematic process, but a gradual phasing-out of such pages when they would otherwise need updating. Most of the new maps appear to be from
Some stations, such as Hackney Downs (which I have just archived), still have their old-style maps.
Others, such as Denmark Hill, have had theirs replaced with much simpler diagrams without the accompanying images.
Some, such as Glasgow Central, now have maps from Network Rail, again without the accompanying images.
New stations, such as Kenilworth, don't have a map at all. The URL which it would occupy is a 404.
I implore forum users to commit to preserving stations for posterity at web.archive.org. I have set myself a goal of 1 station a day. Websites such as Disused Stations can sometimes have problems finding historic images, so future generations will be grateful.

Oh. Similar was available for London Underground stations at https://www.directenquiries.com/ but seems this has been removed in the last two weeks.

Always found it interesting to look round the stations and see the differences in signs etc compared to 10 years ago.

I wonder whether a FOI request for the most recently available maps would get anywhere?

Or look at a bulk downloader and download them all in one go?
Or just write to NRE and ask them?

Seems strange to force another company to keep archives for you... especially as they periodically get deleted anyway.

Is this the “stations made easy” plans and images?

There never seemed to be any systematic process for updates after rebuilds, new gatelines, adding whole new stations etc, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they’ve decided not to support it anymore.

I bet no-one looked at the follow up contract costs when it was first done, which isn’t that long ago really.

Another typical current problem is that the clickable photo links sometimes get mixed up - which is presumably a database error...
