You've been really going at it recently. Well done on the Welsh 143s.

Cheers mate. Essentially doing a DIY ALR with advances and rangers for a week!

Having more of a new track day today- coming to you from 153312 on the Heart of Wales!

Many congratulations, Richard, on clearing those pesky Pacers.

Cheers, it's been two years since my last trip to the Valleys and on Monday it seemed to be in hiding but just like that, it plopped onto the City Line while I was doing some shacks there!

Congratulations from me too!

I like the idea of a DIY ALR, it sounds funky. That being said a proper ALR and all the freedom it brings is just way too much fun. Hmm, I'm feeling there may have to be such a trip next year...

It's an Anglia Plus, Travelcard, Devon Ranger, and Explore Wales Pass, tacked together by various BZ6 and advances.

About £140 versus £330ish for a week's ALR with a railcard. Plus I've been away 10 days not 7!

It's essentially just been a mopping up exercise for track. Still a fair bit to do- mostly in Scotland, but I've narrowed Wales down to just Barmouth to Pwllheli. I was meant to do the whole lot yesterday but failed AC on my late running 158 and the lovely weather (plus a need for some food- tight turnaround at Pwllheli due to lateness) meant that I jumped out at Barmouth.

I do have a trip report thread...this is probably good reason to resurrect it!
