These two (Morgan and Stokes) have to do the lions share of the work from here I'd say otherwise it's all over...

I draw your attention to post #5150

England will never have better chance to win the world cup and are close to throwing it away. Ffs. England.

Yup. If they're not going to do it here and now (and let's be honest they're not) then I don't see how they can ever possibly manage to do it. This team, in home conditions against this opposition chasing under 250 should be romping home to victory. Instead I think we'll limp to around 180/190 for 8 or 9 by the end of 50 overs.

We're still ahead of India (just) and they got 222.

Well, we needed 15 off the final over of "normal time" and now New Zealand need 15 off the super over.

Sorry, I appear to be going somewhat doolally under the pressure (no idea how those actually playing cope). New Zealand of course need 16 to win as we scored 15.

Never ever been happier to be proven wrong

It wouldn't be an England side if they didn't do it the most difficult way possible.

'Arise, Sir Benjamin Stokes' should be the last decision of Theresa May's premiership.

The England Cricket team:

Captained by an immigrant
Batting led by an immigrant
Fastest bowler an immigrant
Leading all-rounder an immigrant
Main spinner son of an immigrant
Coached by a foreigner

That should upset the gammon!

Shame we can't have him (and Wood) for a few more games or we might not still be languishing in the Second Division!

Better still if the ecb hadn't screwed us.......

Mostly Glasgow-ish. Mostly.
Hard work watching both the tie breaker tennis and the super over cricket simultaneously via two Chrome tabs on a battery-knackered phone in a pub with limited signal. Effing tense as well! Fantastic result!
