Question for people who have experience on the Barnstaple line:

Is there enough time to get off the arriving Barnstaple service at 0937 and get on the Barnstaple service at 0938 at Crediton? Back up plan is just to wait at Yeoford if not.

If it was me I think that I'd stick with your back up plan of using Yeoford for the change. I realise the Barnstaple service has to wait for your train to clear the single line section, but if your service is a minute or so late arriving at Crediton the other service may have its doors already closed in anticipation for departure by the time you've disembarked and legged it over the footbridge.

I’d agree with you. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that happen when I’ve been waiting at the level crossing.

Thanks. I'm not as fixated on riding every inch of track so it would be enough for me to just ride to Yeoford and back and take the full length of an Okehampton service at a later date in order to cover the two lines.

Probably too late, but I agree with changing at Yeoford, wheres Crediton does have a footbridge the trains tend to stop at the opposite end of the station so it's a bit of a walk.
