Even the German Wikipedia seems to have incorrect info. ICE 1040 and ICE 1043 are indeed shown as having no Wifi in the timetable. These run Fridays and Sundays. But there's also ICE 1034/1035 Hamburg-Berlin on Saturdays.

If you can go on one, it's worth the effort, but avoid 2nd class as it's rubbish. Business and First are lovely, I can't remember if Business is now classed as 2nd or First class

According to grahnert.de there is one pair of trains between Berlin and each of Frankfurt/Main, Hamburg and Düsseldorf booked to one with MET stock, but most of them only run on specific days.

The website also lists DB's offical stock descriptions(for the MET), with detailed seating plans etc., which confirm that coaches 1, 2 and 3 are the ones to avoid, as they are the ex "Traveller" i.e. 2+2 seated coaches, with 4 and 5 being declassified.

It's two classes now, in second class there are two carriages with 2+2 seating, and two with 2+1 seating, and then two first class carriages with 2+1 seating. I was on it last week! Very nice train.
