very little chance of that I would have thought... It wasn't announced as part of the refresh programme, with most of the areas being covered amounting to a general deep clean and paint (they aren't even doing a CCTV upgrade, which was part of the 375 refurb programme!). As much as it would be nice to have like for like facilities on the same class of train, if it ain't in the franchise agreement, its not gonna happen. Are plug sockets being fitted any time soon ?
I imagine a new franchise might decide to standardise the various 377 interiorsvery little chance of that I would have thought... So does 377164 for the record.377163 has had its refresh and is now wearing Southeastern logos finally!
377165 has been a number regularly used in the past whenever they temporarily shorten a four car unit (or lengthen a 3 car)? EMU set numbers are not set in stone, it’s the individual vehicle numbers that are the primary registration in the rolling stock library.... It shows various Southern services calling at Barnham, but if you skip to 7:27 you will see a unit numbered 377 165 (paired up with 377 410) on a Bognor Regis service. I thought there were only 64 377/1 units (101 - 164)? Was this unit sent off somewhere else as I've never personally seen or heard about it.
Looking at the MOSL of '165' shows a coach number relating to 162 and other Coach numbers appear to relate to a 377/3 (starting 65 but struggled to read the rest on my phone)I stumbled across this video the other day -- and something didn't quite add up. Another interesting point is that, unlike all the other younger 377/1 units (377 140-164), this unit has the smaller circular head and tail lights.

I can't remember the details without going back and looking everything up but I think it's a 377/3 with an additional MSO from a unit that has been disbanded due to accident/fire and undergoing repairs

The forum search finds records of 377165 back to 2009!

Must have been some damage...... not sure on the history but 377165 now currently doesnt exist and presumable has been disbanded back into its proper units.
377442 is the handryer fire unit which is currently missing its MOSL and is running around as a 3 car 377342.
I think this was 377 309.there is a disbanded 377 currently at selhurst depot, one coach i think has gone to derby for repair. it was damaged in a axlebox/dragging brake fire at london bridge. Cna't remember the number though
Fortunately the 377s only have two 'x42' examples... best keep an eye on 387142!Units ending in 42 seem to be unlucky. 377442 (currently 377342) was the unit with one coach damaged by the hand dryer fire, and 377142 went straight through the buffers at Victoria a few weeks back!
