According to the LNER Twitter feed workings for 91108 today are:

05:40 Edinburgh to King's Cross
11:00 King's Cross to Edinburgh
16:30 Edinburgh to King's Cross

then off to Bounds Green.

Very fitting that it gets a send off on the Scotsman as it were.

Also think it’s nice that it’s done 1E01 today...

There’s a rake of coaches currently at Wabtec... perhaps it’s those returning to Bounds Green?

Yes, I thought that was a nice touch. Great too that it does a full diagram on its final day, certainly going out in style!

It would be wonderful if LNER are to make that the send-off for them all!

Doubt that will happen as the Scotsman is one of the first Edinburgh trains to go over to Satsuma operation, as I understand it.

Suppose for it to be the send-off for every one, by definition it would need to be the very last diagram to be converted!

Sad to see the first of the 91's go. A big part of my life.

It was really odd to travel back from Leeds and see very few 91's out and about. Luckily there was an HST on the service from 'Arrogut. Is it possible to identify which services will be HST/91 hauled or is it still to fluid?

My aim is to get as many trips in as i can before they are all gone.

Agree - the Azumas are starting to appear thick and fast now.

Quite - I remember them being new, and trying to convince my Mum to let me bunk off school to go on the first trip out of Leeds. Will definitely miss the roaring and whoosing as they set off.

I'll certainly miss the 91's when they cease working on the ECML. They have served their various TOC's well but all good things must come to an end at some point. Next stop the Class 800's....

The changeover - here's 91108 heading past Oxford Road Footbridge, just north of Finsbury Park, on its last in-service run out of KGX on 1S13 this morning and then an unidentified 800 on the following 1D11 to Leeds. (Photos taken on my Pixel 3 XL - the catenary here makes it a pig to get a clear shot at speed!)

Cracking locomotives, never the most reliable but have given 30 years of Stirling service.

Not a patch on a Class 87 though. I am biased.
