Does anyone know which bus operators (or routes) in the Telford and Shrewsbury areas will allow dogs to travel?

Also does anyone know if there any double decker routes in the above towns.

In particular we are considering

Shrewsbury - route 436 , 8 or X4 (we want to walk the disused railway line from Oteley Road back into town)

Telford - Any route that goes between the town centre <> Ironbridge and town centre <> Coalport area (we want to walk the disused railway line between Ironbridge and Coalport)

Many thanks in advance :)

All the routes quoted appear to be Arriva Midlands.
From their Conditions of Carriage https://www.arrivabus.co.uk/about-us/conditions-of-carriage/
9. Dogs and other animals
9.1. We welcome all types of assistance dog free of charge when accompanying either a registered disabled person or a trainer who can show an appropriate means of identification. Other dogs are accepted at the discretion of the driver. All dogs must be on a harness or lead and, if necessary, muzzled in accordance with the Dangerous Dogs Act. We reserve the right to ask you to leave the vehicle at any time if you permit your dog to behave unacceptably.

9.2. Small animals that will not be a danger or nuisance to other passengers are allowed on the vehicle provided they are fully under your control by being boxed, caged or on a lead. Animals must not travel on seats. All animals are carried at the owner’s risk.

436 is usually an Optare single deck and is a very fast run as it is extremely tightly timed and most continue through Bridgnorth to Wolverhampton. The 8 is usually a short single. The X4 and X5 are usually Optare singles and also tightly timed. Telford to Ironbridge is mainly small singles with a few Optares mixed in for good measure. Be warned that the 19's through to Shrewsbury often run VERY early in both directions as they get so much time and the drivers don't always wait for time.
There are no doubles anywhere in Shrewsbury or Telford that I am aware of and I've seen dogs on all routes in Shropshire so you should have no issue. One bus had 3 on! Arriva also do contactless payment.

Almost all Shropshire long distance Arriva routes are Optare single deck except Oswestry to Chester and also an Optare Solo does creep onto the 70 Oswestry to Shrewsbury occasionally.
