Do GWR TMs just work long distance routes or suburban/short distance routes too?

The questions in the title really, just wondering whether TMs are used on short distance routes with GWR or is this conductor work, with TMs working the longer distance high speed routes or do you do a mix as a TM??

Ah, ok thanks for the info. I’d just heard that some TMs in training at the moment to be based at Reading were starting off on the shorter stuff, ie Reading-Gatwick, or is this just maybe part of their initial familiarisation training??

Exeter/Plymouth & Bristol will do both HSS and Unit work.

Reading TMs work the Basingstoke shuttles and the North Downs to Gatwick. I know a couple of Reading blokes and I’ve seen them working these trains.
