Latest fleet news shows 10 new E200 on order, delivery expected September to replace Volvos 100-109, with the Volvos expected to transfer to Go North West.
Also 64plate E200 expected from London later in the year to replace older single decks

Wonder if PCB will go for the classic Enviro200 or whether these new ones will be MMC. Having travelled on both types I know which I prefer.

If they are new then they will be MMCs. I assume the ones from London will be classics.

Neither they're both crap buses.
Each to their own. I am not a fan of the classic Enviro200s as I find they lack legroom. However I have been on the Enviro200 MMCs with Stagecoach and find them a better ride. A bus enthusiast in South Wales once told me he prefers the MMC ones also.

A number of changes for PCB effective 01-Sep-2019, seemingly - for the most part - affecting school services:

Public Services
Revised:
- 5 Elburton - City Centre (Timetable changes)
- 5A Saltash - City Centre (Route and Timetable Changes?)
Redistribution of running time, service 5A terminus revised at Saltash end to Frith Road, more early evening journeys from Saltash - City Centre (but, it seems, not the other way?) including one which runs Saltash - St. Budeaux only. Also additional evening journey (Service 5A: 2345 City Centre - Elburton)

- 27 City Centre - Crownhill
Redistribution of running time, most evening journeys 10 minutes later than at present.

- 28, 28A, 28B City Centre - Estover Asda (Timetable Changes)
Most evening journeys 10 minutes later than at present.

- 42, 42C City Centre -Woolwell) (Timetable Changes)
Redistribution of running time, revised TT Mondays to Fridays + Bank Holidays.

- 42A, 42B City Centre - Southway (Timetable Changes)
Revised timetable for Sunday & Bank Holiday inbound services.

- 50, 51 Derriford Hospital - Derriford Hospital (Timetable Changes)
Revised timetables on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

- 72, 72A Looe Bay - Polperro (Timetable Changes)
Extras for Looe Music Festival, implementation of winter timetable.

- 74, 174 Callington - Liskeard (Route & Timetable Changes)
Addition of Service 74A via. Upton Cross, afternoon 174 revised to serve Upton Cross.

- PR3 Seaton - George Junction Park & Ride (Timetable Changes)
Loss of weekday evening and all Saturday journeys.

Withdrawn:
- 0CS City Centre - Barbican

Callywith College services:
Routes 172, 178 and 187 will only see revised timetables with the afternoon 172 journey also no longer serving Plymouth. In addition the 1520 Padstow - Bodmin via. Callywith (Service 11A) is withdrawn with a replacement journey, not via. Callywith, operating from Padstow at 1530.

Route and Timetable revisions:
- 177 Holsworthy: Timetable revised, service to operate via. South Petherwin, not Tregadillett.
- 179 Gunnislake: Afternoon journey rerouted to serve Dobwalls.
- 188 Holmbush: Extended to operate Lanjeth - Bodmin (Callywith College).
- 189 Tywardreath: Extended to operate Biscovey (St. Mary's Road) - Callywith College.

New Route:
- 186 St. Stephen - Callywith College

HTIOI,
Dave

Eeeek. The Volvos have always been a good ride on the 11/11A when I have done it which has been 3 or 4 times from Wadebridge to Plymouth and I would think Enviro 200s will be worse. What will we seen then? Old-school SWB lack-of-legroom ones or something newer?

This week I’ve seen a mix of 08 plate and 65 plate... the 08 plates being 6 cylinder Cummins fly down, but apparently drink too much fuel.

There are a batch of 64 plates due from London for liskeard

Will stand by for a less decent journey in future then. I guess they will be old-style E200s rather than their much better MMC cousins. May go no further than Bodmin Parkway next time.

Volvo B7RLE’s 102 and 103 were still working for PCB over the weekend, seen on service 11. Meanwhile Steven Knight Media Fleet news ramblings are reporting EYMS E200’s YX56 HVG and YX56 HVJ are due to transfer to Plymouth. YX56 HVF & YX56 HVH were delicensed in Yorkshire early in September and may also be heading the same way.

Being 64 plate I reckon they're MMCs, but I could be wrong.

If the older variety, then they'll be awful old rattle traps. Minimum spec interior and lots of body flexing, especially around the centre door area.

I'm sorry but the first MMCs were 15 plates.

I made a trip up to Plymouth last Saturday to see what buses were being used on the shuttles in association with the "Illuminate" event at Royal William Yard. Plymouth Citybus were operating an Ocean City Sights service every 20 minutes using the two partial open top Enviro 400's.
In addition a special service 34A was every 15 minutes to Royal William Yard. This was worked by a mixture of E400's including the Mayflower 400 special and E400 City 565 which was apt given the name of the event. Meanwhile Graham's website shows the first of the E400 City's in it's new livery:-

A low emission zone somewhere at derriford is coming out so these were intended for the 50/51 but the 42 needed euro 6 upgrades (50/51 was already older euro 6)

If that is the case then PCB service 34 & Stagecoach services 14/52 will need upgrading.

Having been in Plymouth today it’s interesting to note that the Plymouth Citybus decker fleet is now all Enviro’s after the last remaining Tridents were withdrawn from service before Christmas. Thankfully a few Stagecoach examples can still be seen.

The remaining Darts, Volvos and Scania single deckers are also marked for withdrawal with Enviros due to replace them too to standardise the fleet.

Volvos due to go to Manchester Scanias due to be replaced by Enviro 200's from East Yorkshire but I think there will be a few Darts around for a while.

Cornwall tender results go public imminently. If PCB win the Darts are no use in Cornwall due to Euro 5/6 clause. If they don’t win they’ll be surplus to requirements too I would imagine as they are mainly used on current Cornwall tender work.

Whoever wins there's going to be massive upheavals in the next few months. Interesting times ahead!

I wasn't aware of that - thanks. I hear the ex EYMS E200's that have been in Plymouth for a few weeks are in poor condition hence they are still not in service.

They’re apparently being upgraded to euro 6 and repainted.

I will be interested to see who wins what. I wonder how much PCB have put in for? Same routes as at present or a few more besides? We will find out soon enough.
