Hello all,
I have recently applied for a bus driver job with london United...passed all the tests etc, but as I am over 45 years old, they have applied to my doctors for my medical records, which I have been totally honest about, which is fine... thing is, I have had slight depression in the past and was prescribed MIRTAZAPINE 15 MG which I took every other night, this was prescribed for me in Nov 2017, I stopped it in May 2019.
The letter I received from the DVLA, 2 weeks ago worried me a lot, as it stated, it was looking into my fitness to drive, not only a bus, but a car also.
My question is...has anybody else had experience of this????
My doctor has not not replied to their letter as maybe she could be on holiday, plus I have never met her, even though I have been with the practice for 28 years and my request for these antidepressants was with the above doctor, but in a telephone consultation.

Any advice would be really helpful...

Jo

They will probably just ask you to go to another doctor. When i did my medical i went to a another doctor and got a stamp from mine. Its just a process to make sure your doctor has not passed you just as their client
