Like buses, you see none for ages then two come along at once…

Whilst wandering about at Paddington for the HST departures this evening, I’m glancing across from Platform 1 and I see @fishquinn walking along the next platform. He then introduced me to @nat67 before parting again to catch our final HST.

Later in the evening I was hurrying between Snow Hill and New St to catch a connection back home and passed @ForTheLoveOf rushing in the opposite direction.

@Starmill and I briefly met @Dr Day as she alighted from our train at Cheltenham[/Q
Could have done with you on my next leg where a girl was thrown off for having an invalid mobile ticket linked to a railcard bought on a different 'phone. She may well have been in the wrong, but appeared from the tone and body language to have made an honest mistake. Either way the guard made a complete hash of explaining the rules.

@Starmill - nice to put a face to the name albeit briefly and you are far younger than I had imagined you to be!

I wonder if the guard I purchased a Havenhouse - Thorpe Culvert ticket from on Saturday is a member of this forum, he knew his stuff.

99% sure I met one of you at Woodbridge this morning. Whoever it was asked if first class was declassified because of a lack of antimacassars, the sounds like an RUK level of question

It kinda does! Who else would even know what the things were called anyway!

Wasn't massively unexpected, as I knew he was coming through at some point. But I saw Kite159 at Manchester Piccadilly earlier

Attending the BLS "The Steel City Special" yesterday on Supertram, I thought I had seen @Kite159 waiting on the platform. A quick message on here confirmed I had and we caught up briefly at one of the break points on the tour

Bumped into @ForTheLoveOf yesterday on a Cardiff Queen Street-Cardiff Bay service.
Did he say why he hasn’t posted for a while, he used to be a twenty a day man.

I am hoping to make a week long first class trip around the country using a Guildford footbridge pass. I was hoping he could advise to correct Latin to quote to any ticket inspectors who dare to challenge my basic contractual right to do so.

Was it one of us sat behind me on 175 002 this morning? Chap in a red jumper and on his phone to someone describing the new refurbed seats. Think he got on at Abergele or Colwyn Bay and got off at Rhyl. He was talking with the enthusiasm of a train lover, and the short journey suggested someone having a day covering a few route sections.
