QUERY RAISED Was the current station ever known just as Cobham and if so, what were the years when it carried that station name, prior to the currently-named title of the station?

That's strange, as the Wiki article on the New Guildford Line just refers to it as "Cobham". However, in the Wiki on the station, it uses the longer name, so I have revised my answer in post 16194.

Just as Carluke is a station at the Southern end of the Argyle Line, Singer is one at the Northern end.
