Stagecoach Merseyside using training bus on service

Noticed this several times in the last few weeks. Gillmoss have been putting out one or more of their blue & red training buses on service. Saw one in Everton today, I think on the 17.
I've been driving every time so unable to ID the vehicle.
Are Stagecoach short of single deckers in Liverpool?

There are two MAN/E300 in a blue version of Stagecoach livery, probably one of those (24172 & 24173), apparently they were intended as paint float vehicles.....here's 24172 in Liverpool a short while back http://www.flickr.com/photos/dmc1947/46063029541

Yeah possibly one of those.........but Gillmoss has used that livery for training vehicles for a couple of years at least

Actually, the Merseyside training livery is the opposite of the 2 blue MAN E300s (which were painted in preparation for all-over adverts that never happened) in that there are front swoops not rear.
