Six more trains to go before South Western Railway are cleared, three more before Virgin Trains are cleared. Busy past month.

Yes the FLU was on the Hayes shuttle. I’m not sure how many have worked as 9s. Took me by surprise.

Looks like everybody is needing lots of new pens, my share price for the Red Pen Company keeps on increasing ;)
Indeed and there will be even more within the next week or so as I start a 8 in 15 FOSS tomorrow and I might tack on an Devon day ranger and maybe a explore Cardiff thingy for the last couple of days.
So I hope the scenery between Queen street and Central is alright!

Have fun with the 8 in 15. I hope to see this thread over run with your winners.

Sadly doing Cardiff Queen Street - Central leaps is a lot harder these days due to the new platforms at both stations, it used to be both island platforms.

I wonder if @87electric needs this reformed 158 ;)

My haulage records reveal 158769 2 car (52769/57769) was had in May 2015, the same day as 158962. Find that one in your Platform 5! :D

The temporary 158/9, looks like I had that twice on the same day in July 2015 when doing stations (Yate to Filton, Westbury to Freshford). Some of those 158/9s are reformed more than 175s!

I don’t mind reformed units as they keep me on my toes.
As long as they don’t re-number individual carriages again, for instance, I remember 508210 had a damaged carriage and when the replacement one was inserted into the set it took the number of the damaged one. Confused the hell out of me until I found out the reason why.

So half way through and I now need only 4 GWR units allocated to SPM so I would say it has gone rather well so far.
One thing that I though of while I was watching 158 956 leaving Newport which is formed of unit 158768 I think and 1 coach in the Hybrid formation I was wondering if people would also log the mileage under 158768? as well as under 956 or just under 158 956.

I've been trying to understand this idea since I saw it yesterday. I think I've understood it now. So say I've done a journey with 158956 from Cardiff to Bristol Temple Meads, you're wondering which of the following two ways I'd log it:

- 158956 CDF-BRI
- 158768/158956 CDF-BRI

I used to note the coach number on my moves, but I haven't done that for ages. Even when I was doing that, I'd still record the journey as on whatever the MU was numbered as. A formation of 158768 with both of its coaches would probably occasionally catch my eye, but that's basically it.

So yeah, just as 158956 for me.

For mileage: 91112 upon arrival at York, on the 16th, achieved 50,000 miles with the Class.
Also had a ride on a few Scot Rail HST sets.
Coming home from Brechin it was nice to say that my journey started with 27024.

Yes from Swindon to Reading on 1A11 - only its second booked working I believe!

We would have passed each other as I boarded it at Reading onwards to Paddington. I was actually waiting for a pair of units from Penzance near the end of a 45 odd minute fester
