Afternoons,

Can anybody share any information on Peterborough GTR depot as a driver? Thinking of applying next time vacancies arise.

Routes/traction/RD pattern etc. Do they just sign the old “Great Northern” routes or do they now come south if the Thames.

Many thanks

THANKYOU - is there much diversionary routes around London too?

Looks like a nice variation of routes for such a northerly outpost (not being in the core). Guess the only disadvantage is DOO work

About 20 - 25 drivers on the internal transfer (waiting) list for Peterborough though I'm afraid.

Welwyn or Cambridge your best bet to get a job in the company. Or Hornsey.
Bedford has about 50 (!) drivers waiting to get there on the transfer list, so that's not an option either!

Any idea roughly when they will advertise external vacancies for trainee drivers at Welwyn or Cambridge???

Thanks for the advise whoosh!

I’m sure I saw trainee jobs advertised not long back there, so presumed the turnover of staff might be big.

Looking at moving to the area so looking at options, I’m already a qualified driver with 5 years experience with a clean record so looking at all options!

Cambridge was advertised about September 2018, there has been nothing advertised for TL or GN since then.
