Photographed the following sets on 14th (Sheffield) and 15th (Sheffield, Man picc and vic ). Also missed Photographing 055 and 091 by a whisker.
001, 003, 013,014,017, 029, 031, 035,038,039,043, 048, 051, 056, 062, 064, 067, 079, 088, 092, 093.
Cardiff next and then north east, catch them while i can so to speak. Would download some images but not sure what to do. I am from the black and white days.....

142093 was in fine form and looking very smart on the morning Saturdays only Sheffield to Cleethorpes via Retford round trip today :D

142 064 was on the 1002 from Castleford to Leeds, from Sheffield, this morning. With bus seats of course. The train the other way was a 158 as was the 1530 I caught form Leeds, 158 797 badly in need of an internal overhaul. Also full and standing to Castleford at least.

Isn't 142013 one of the four that FNW didn't have refurbished, as they were not planning to retain them after the closure of the Oldham loop?

Don't think that is the case now, at least not with 142029 as the flooring has been replaced and some of internal repaint seemed to of occurred in the interior.

I remember travelling on 142029 when it was based in the NE and it definately had the original brown flooring with passengers muttering how shabby the train look and let's be fair, it did look shabby so in fairness to Northern, some work has been done to them.

Yes I think the floors were original up until around five years ago. Number 67 had a Brown floor but it too has been replaced in the last few years. But they do retain the original smoking area partitions. Sadly though the doors have been removed some time ago.

Sorry it's yesterday's news now, but 142086 worked the 16.53 Hull to Sheffield stopper on Wednesday 21 August.

The carriage I travelled in had 4 bikes in for most of the way between Hull and Doncaster, all in the correct part of the carriage, not blocking aisles or doorways. The bikes all changed as the journey progressed but still, 4 bikes on a fairly busy train, wow! Try that on most DMUs or EMUs built since, I don't think it would work nearly so smoothly!
