Liverpool stations listed on West Midlands Railway delay repay site

Hi,

I was on the WMR delay repay site and noticed that when you type ‘Liverpool’ as a starting station you can choose:

London Liverpool Street LST
Liverpool Lime Street LIV
Liverpool Street
Low Level LIX
Liverpool South Parkway LPY
Liverpool Central LVC
Liverpool Landing Stage LVS

What are Liverpool Street Low Level and Liverpool Landing Stage?

Liverpool Landing Stage is for the Isle of Man Ferry I think.

Liverpool Street Low Level should probably be Liverpool Lime St Low Level, which is the Merseyrail station under the main one. Or it could be for Crossrail, as it isn't in any of the lists yet.

Landing Stage is something to do with the ferry service out of the docks at Liverpool. Assume it relates to sail/rail tickets (or whatever they are called).

Not sure on the Liverpool Street Low Level unless it's supposed to refer to the low level platforms at Liverpool Lime Street?

Googling "Liverpool Street Low Level" comes up only with Crossrail stuff, so I think it's their underground station

It would probably help customers if only locations where trains can actually be taken to or from were listed on the form. It used to insist that I wanted to go to Euston Backing Out Roads - even after they had been lifted :lol:

Angel Road isn't that weird. If you bought a return (with 1 month validity), then any delay repay may still be ongoing in the system if you bought it just before its closure (especially if in appeal). Also if you've got a season ticket to Angel Road from anywhere, that might still be the station on your ticket, which won't have phased out yet, even though you'd now be travelling from an alternative station.

Places with a three-letter CRS code that aren't for the public (e.g. depots/some junctions) normally have an X as the first letter e.g. Lichfield North Junction Low Level is XOI. I'm guessing the delay repay site is correctly filtering those out, but not filtering out the other non-passenger locations not starting with X.

According to the unofficial site railwaycodes.org.uk, Liverpool Lime Street Low Level did have a separate 3-letter code at one stage, but it was LVL.

And yes, Liverpool Landing Stage is the Princes Landing Stage at the Pier Head, from where the Isle of Man Steam Packet ferry sails. You can book through tickets from the UK to Douglas on Loco2, although curiously you seem to be expected to make your own way from Lime Street and don't get offered the option of taking Merseyrail across town to the much closer James Street station.

On a side note, there used to be a railway station called 'Riverside' at Princes Dock, adjacent to the current Cruise Liner Terminal and landing stage, which was used by passengers and freight.

There was also an Overhead Railway station called 'Princes Dock' adjacent to the dock of the same name.

See this link to RTT, The services are IOM Steam Packet services to Douglas. LVS to DGS. It is the delay repay entry that is weird since the tickets for these journeys are indeed Sail-Rail and the fare information says that CIV rules apply, which is different from Delay Repay as I understand it.
