The Met and Piccadilly are both closed between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge this weekend
I wonder how much money is being wasted on the Rail Replacement buses ML1 that are running Parallel from Harrow on the Hill ?
Do we think the RRB dept did not talk to the operating Dept?

Doesn't seem a waste to me. Passengers from Zone 1 can get any Amersham/Chesham/Watford service and connect directly onto their bus, instead of having to wait for a specific Rayner's service just to gap-fill 2 stations. In the other direction it doesn't matter, since a Rayner's starter will not involve an extra wait at Harrow.

I can't understand why the RRB is calling at South Harrow though. If the idea is to facilitate connections off all trains at Harrow and Wealdstone then non-stop H&W to Rayners Lane both ways would seem more appropriate.

In the Working Timetable bus ML1 only runs Uxbridge to Rayners Lane.
(Except the 00.36 Sat/Mon, 00.14 Sun, bus from Uxbridge which if requested can be run all stations to Wembley Park, to set-down only)

Metropolitan services to/from Rayners Lane are also operating uneven every 11 and 19 minutes.

I also can't find *any* sensible route for the buses to take. How are they going between Harrow and Rayners Lane via the two Harrows? That's going to be a very annoying and weird zigzag, which makes waiting for the Rayners Lane service from Harrow almost faster, but certainly more comfortable, I'd say.

I think you mean '-on-the-Hill', not ' & Wealdstone'.

The South Harrow bit must be opportunistic, after routing the westbound bus past it to point in the right direction at Rayner's Lane? Whereas the eastbound express can approach HotH from the north instead. If that's the case then West Harrow is actually the awkward one.

Interestingly on the few occasions I have taken the RRB when routed HOTH West Harrow South Harrow Rayners I have found the West Harrow stop seems to be a myth
They will generously let you alight or board on Whitmore Road and walk the 0.4 miles

As Dstock7000 says the RRBs do not seem likely be going east of Rayners in any case although the poster printer may not know this.
