It could only be SWR that nearly two years into its franchise doesn't have a train in its own livery to apply the rainbow to so has use the previous operator's livery.444019 has received a rainbow at each end. Photo here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/cna87/48542842996/in/feed

A brief update on the 158/159 situation:
158880 - 158886 are all SWT in and out.
158887, 158888 & 158890 all still have SWT interiors and SWR's striped livery.
159001 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery. (NB 1st class end has old SWT unit no's)
159002 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159003 - SWT interior, SWR striped livery. (NB Old SWT unit no's both ends, and 1st Class stripe is white)
159004 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159005 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery. (NB dark grey is striped vinyl, and unit no's are old SWT style at both ends)
159006 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159007 - SWT interior, SWR striped livery. (NB 1st Class stripe doesn't cover 1st Class door)
159008 - SWT in and out
159009 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery. (NB 1st Class stripe doesn't cover 1st Class door, and Std Class end has old SWT unit no's)
159010 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159011 - SWR interior, SWR striped livery. (NB 1st Class stripe doesn't cover 1st Class door)
159012 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159013 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159014 - SWR interior, SWR striped livery. (NB 1st Class stripe doesn't cover 1st Class door)
159015 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159016 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159017 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159018 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery.
159019 - SWR interior, SWR two-tone livery. (Currently in Loughborough)
159020 - SWT in and out
159021 - SWT in and out
159022 - SWT in and out.
159101 - 159108 are all SWT (various shades) externally, and SWT internally.
Yeah your right, well spotted! Thanks for this. I'm sure 159011 still has an SWT interior.
Works way better than i think it would with the SWR livery just because of the way the livery is doneIt could only be SWR that nearly two years into its franchise doesn't have a train in its own livery to apply the rainbow to so has use the previous operator's livery.
On the SWR livery I would envisage it being applied as diagonal stripes on the dark blue area.Works way better than i think it would with the SWR livery just because of the way the livery is done
No idea - could be Barton Hill, could be Loughborough, could be wherever SWR selects to carry out the refurbishment work. We won't know until the first unit goes.So after the C6 has been completed at Loughborough will they be sending the diesel 158/159 units to Barton hill for the bigger refurb next year?
Amazing, thanks for the update!Some Desiro activity to record today for those interested;
.
444032 (unit 31) departed from Eastleigh this morning along with 450072 (unit 71) and returned to Northam.
444001 (unit 32) made its way to Eastleigh around lunchtime.
.
The next 450 (unit 73) 450098, went to Eastleigh a few hours ago.

Southampton to St Denny's is only operated by a 158 unit as of which haven't had their interiors.Quick question
What are the chances of catching a refurbished 159 from Southampton Central to St Denys?
How many in terms of % of the 159s are done?
What work will that involve?Southampton to St Denny's is only operated by a 158 unit as of which haven't had their interiors.
However 158 (887, 888, 890) have the SWR striped livery.
Most 159/0's have the partially refreshed interior as part of the C6 Overhaul. Which operate on the west of England line.
A big diesel internal refurbishment will start next year!
Hope this helps!
Wow a much quicker 444 turnaround. Thanks for the update as always!Some Desiro activity to record today for those interested;

Thanks, Guess i will just have to hope for a refurbished 450 as i have notice they sometimes stop at St Denys tooSouthampton to St Denny's is only operated by a 158 unit as of which haven't had their interiors.

Modern Railways back in January reported that everything will end up in the final version of SWR livery. What work will that involve?
I understand first class is to be reduced with new seats but standard seats will remain?
Will those in SWT livery be repainted
For a fleet that used to have a standardised image they are currently a mess although I like the finalised SWR livery on them. Probably because the roof isn't white like a 442
The first version of the SWR units looks awfuk sl hopefully these will be redone
The Southampton Central - Portsmouth & Southsea SWR services are worked by 450s, which call at St Denys. This might explain why you sometimes see 450s at St Denys. Thanks, Guess i will just have to hope for a refurbished 450 as i have notice they sometimes stop at St Denys too
Thank you for the update. The 450 turnarounds seem to be very quick now! Some more movements overnight. Unit 72 - 450086 departed from Eastleigh and was replaced by 450124 which is unit 74 in the programme.
I doubt theirs much difference because they both go through the same process. I wonder if all the carpet and upholstery is totally replaced on a semi-referb.In the grand scheme of things is it significantly quicker to turn around the full refurb of one of the part refurbed sets compared to an unrefurbed set?
I think if a semi-refurbished 450 is being fully refurbished, the upholstery and carpets are not replaced. The non refurbished 450s need more work done (new seat covers and carpets).I doubt theirs much difference because they both go through the same process. I wonder if all the carpet and upholstery is totally replaced on a semi-referb.
