Hi All.

So with TPE chaos this afternoon I had to catch a bus from White Rose into Leeds rather than a train from Cottingley (for which I already had a ticket, which I then used to complete my journey from Leeds).

So while I didn't suffer too much of a delay I am out of pocket. Is there a way to get reimbursed by TPEXPRESS for my bus fare?

Cheers

Easier although not very truthful and against the rules to just claim for the delay you would have suffered had you stuck to the railway.

It is really grating that you get treated worse because you sorted yourself out around the disruption rather than presenting to the railway like another helpless sheep needing hand-holding through a minor disruption.

Definitely worth writing to tpe. They've actually left me without arranging transport before and actively told me just to claim back, contrary to what the NRCoT says. They do from anecdotal experience however have a good track record of reimbursing passengers for the expenses they shouldn't have had to incur in the first place.
