For some reason we 'undertook' a 333 stopped on the main line.

13/08/19 : Porthmadog WHR - Pen-y-Mount.



Until now, I haven't been west of Shrewsbury by rail at all, excepting a visit to the Talyllyn by coach about 40 years ago, so that was the biggest bit of unbashed track in the entire UK for me. Still need Dovey Junction to Aberystwyth, though, but that gives a perfect excuse to get the Vale of Rheidol in as well on a future trip...

I highly recommend spending an hour at Dovey Junction to really take in how gorgeous and peaceful the station and its surroundings are.

Long time Member, first time poster. Long-term track basher too, although this year I've been filling in some of my bigger gaps. Based in Manchester, which is where it all began for me too, so some places are a touch more exotic for me than others!
