Hopefully they will introduce a reward scheme for those of us who spend a fortune on standard class travel
It already covers that criteria too. My current membership was earned via standard class spend.

It's not a points scheme, once qualified you get a free weekend trip for you +1 every weekend for 12 months.
T&C say it is valid while Virgin operate the franchise, considering what happened to previous rewards schemes on franchise changeover it would be reasonable to assume it won't stay at all or be replaced by something else.

It used to be that you could submit the requisite tickets to them and they would then enrol you into the scheme, but a fair while ago they changed that to be an invitation only system.
If there is a replacement system, I hope it takes into account corporate customers who book via a 3rd party. Hotels have figured this out.
