Currently looking on Genius for some "Gen" as I'm hoping to take Keira and Millie (the girls on the BTP posters) out on the new train and it looks like all the Scarborough departures are in the hands of 185s at the moment,. However 802206 is showing on 5E41 10:07 NCL-SCA 12:08 and back to YRK as 5T42 @ 12:18

The genius info I have cannot be relied on as gospel however and BMIflyer has already mentioned the Mk5 is planned to be out today.

MkVa was booked out today but due to driver resourcing has been cancelled. Here’s to hoping Tuesday is more successful.

I thought the mark 5a would have these seats? What happened to those?

Thats just an artist impression, quite often they end up looking different, I mean look at the initial impression of how the CAF Northern Civity (195/331) were meant to look
Shame they look a lot better than having the same awful seats as the GWR 800s

The set will be back out on Tuesday @gimmea50anyday and should continue all the way through to the weekend, including Saturday.

Alas the plans can change at 24hrs notice so beware, as it all revolves around available qualified crew at the moment.

Does anyone happen to know will it be set T09 again or TP11 or maybe another one?

I think it was 4 Mk5a sets accepted by TPE.

Not sure of the allocations for next week, but Nova 3 sets accepted/First passenger runs are:
TP09 12.04.2019/24.08.2019
TP06 15.05.2019
TP04 04.07.2019
TP11 11.07.2019/28.08.2019

That's the WCML EMU layout which I believe does have most or all seats aligned.

The 397 the best looking exterior with the best interior, of the 3 Novas.

TP11 11.07.2019/28.08.2019

It's a super record your keeping @sjpowermac.

If TP09 is in good order it would be nice to have one of the other sets out this week, to iron out any teething troubles and to get ready for 2 sets of Nova 3 in passenger service, very soon.

Only 09 and 11 are fitted out for passenger use at the moment (all emergency tools and on train equipment fitted).

Call me old-school, but I have to say that I find it a bit unusual when people are more concerned about the coaching stock than the loco.

So I will ask the question: Does anyone know if it will be the same two 68s this week or will there be any swapping about?

Well some of us are primarily passengers. Interested passengers, but passengers none the less. And we’re utterly sick of squeezing onto overcrowded 3 car units all the time. We need the extra capacity - how it’s propelled is comparatively unimportant (even if we do appreciate the loco on another level). The railway is a transport system after all, not a playground.

Thanks very much BMIFlyer for the info, much appreciated as always.

Any idea why TP09 seems favoured over TP11?
A train crew member I spoke to suggested that TP11 was the better set out of the two. TP09 ran for 3 days with no soap in the FC toilet and the door didn't always lock in when closed so passengers were unable to lock the door from inside, It was viewed later in the week locked out of use.

This is part of as statement released by TPE yesterday, covering current plans:-

"Two of our fleet of Nova 3 trains will be in service each day from 23 September 2019 operating between Liverpool and Scarborough. These train introductions allow us to start the process of cascading existing rolling stock and lengthening the formations of other trains. We expect this to be followed in October with the start of the roll out of our Nova 2 and Nova 1 fleets into passenger service."
Thanks for posting this.
Was this a public statement and if so is there a link to it please?
Can't find nothing on the TPE website, checked the media section.

There is a ongoing safety alarm which keeps on activating and when investigated, there isn't a problem and it's not worth risking it until its fixed. Sure one of the guys on the project can confirm this tho. The toilet... I was the one with the team when it was locked ;)
