Forgive my ignorance but what is a trainspotting app...?
I doubt there is one.
There is website aimed at spotters: https://www.locoscene.co.uk/
The wnxx site ( http://www.wnxx.com/ ) has a lot of information that would be useful for spotters; this site also has a forum at https://www.wnxxforum.co.uk/ which would be another very useful resource for spotters; it had an entire section dedicated to traction and rolling stock matters.

This is the app I use - it shows Depot allocations, photos, and any previous numbers. You can sort units by type/depot/owners:
