I am trying to buy some tickets on Loco2 for tomorrow. However when I enter my journey details and choose a return itinerary, the website will only offer me 2 singles. There is no option to choose open return and I have to enter both an outward and return date. Also there are no advanced fares for this route so I expected the usual fares to be displayed but the website won't show them for some reason.

Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong?

Lastly since when did they start adding a £1.50 "commission" to the basket total?

Loco2 have recently been acquired by SNCF and will be introducing a booking fee soon but at the moment there shouldn't be any. Having checked I can get Loco2 to offer an Anytime Return but a specific train has to be selected like many booking sites (it's also listed as "semi flexible" which is misleading) no "commission" showing for me either.

I think this is a case of a horrible user interface rather than anything else.

Loco2 always seem to display the "cheapest" ticket - to get flexible tickets you may need to "upgrade" the ticket. This should give you a drop-down list of options

On the booking fee it has a system which looks for split tickets (it calls it Pricehack). If it finds one then of charges a commission based on the savings. It also has something that stop you booking overlapping tickets to get round it.

Yes, 10% of the savings (where applicable), the same as Trainsplit.

Not sure what this means?

Will this apply in addition to the percentage of savings, for "Pricehack" fares?
