Thanks for the update.

I'm surprised that there's a First Open included in that rake. I appreciate that the mark 4 catering vehicles are standard class, but that's a decrease in standard class seating overall compared to the current mark 3 set. I'd assumed that 12318 would be making the trip rather than 11323.
It could be that the Open First (Disabled) coaches for TfW (that is, the 113xx series), might get renumbered if they become Composites...

Quite a surprise to see the blue maritime livery thunderbird, then even more surprised to see only half a train. TGI Fridays is not the best location to see the trains in Stevenage.

That sounds more akin to what I've read previously. I wonder what the intention is then? Reseat the catering vehicle with first class seats recovered from 11323, or convert 11323 to a half first/half standard composite vehicle?

I'd assume the former, and while it is easy to alter the seats in a mark 4 I don't see why 11323 should then be converted to a Tourist Open when there is already a disabled compliant standard class vehicle (12318) available in the first place. Unless 11323 is being moved purely to surrender seats to the catering vehicles - One Pullman Open has sufficient seats to furnish two catering vehicles - and 12318 is being moved on a separate date, but I assume that if it was involved then they would have all been moved together.

Unless it's changed I understood the formation was planned to be: DVT, Service Vehicle (presumably re-seated to First Class), Tourist Open Disabled, Tourist Open, Tourist Open End.

A Pullman Open giving up its first class seats seems plausible, as opposed to sourcing seats from elsewhere.

Yeah that's what I thought with regards the formation - Hence my surprise at a Pullman Open being included in this movement. Makes sense if it's being moved to provide seats, though.

The only other possibility I see is its seats get taken out and it gets converted to standard class, but that seems unlikely when there are plenty of existing TOs.

I appreciate that there is overlap but we're definitely wandering firmly into territory more suited to the TfW Mk4 thread rather than the withdrawal thread ;)

There has been an MK4 set at heaton since Thursday can’t quite get the number as it’s hard to get to and it hasn’t moved since I presume it’s broken and awaiting to be fixed does anyone else know about this ???

Alot of these trains keep breaking down as of late is there much point in repairing them if they are going to consistently break down

Presumably yes, otherwise the services they're meant to be operating will be cancelled instead.

If you're questioning whether they should be repaired and/or overhauled for future use away from LNER, then that's another matter. But I hope that those carriages that are transferred elsewhere will be the among the best condition.

They keep a 'Hot spare' at Heaton if they have a spare train.
Also set for 1Y44 now comes off Heaton rather than being formed off 1N17, which is now extended to Edinburgh.

Saw a fairly long rake of MK4s (no DVT), hitched up to very shiny maroon class 67 yesterday at Alexandra Palace depot... Off to scrap or TfW?

I believe today is the last service to Glasgow and Ex Glasgow as well. 91101 was on 1E06 which is the service from Glasgow Central.

For the Glasgow diagram. This is obviously the final time it's booked for a 225 set, but I'm sure there's an outside chance that a set may end up on 1S23/1E06 in the event of an Azuma failure and a set swap.

Thank you, glad to see '102 isn't going on Monday

91120 air compressor sounding a bit ropey when parked next to me yesterday in Newcastle. Obviously still works but not for long....
