Anybody know why 2 GBRF 73s were at Papworth sidings today? Parked up on one of the roads containing Mk3s. Never seen 73s round these parts.
Also caught a glimpse of the class 43 in original blue and yellow livery. Looed like it had been thoroughly cleaned and looked marvellous!

It was fully revinyled and cab repainted prior to leaving Laira. Just a pity that the NRM have left it stood outside at Ely, hopefully it won't be there much longer before it's accepted into York or Shildon.

Don't forget that at moment it's nothing to do with the NRM, It's still an Angel Trains PC and they can do whatever they want with it (including re-leasing it if they wanted to).

As mentioned above, the 73's are being hired from GBRf to shunt the various Mk3s around Ely Papworth yard. Quite handy having Buckeye's and the rubbing plates on those locos.

I wondered whether it had actually been handed over yet - thanks for the extra info.
