Certainly interesting if it is. The general complaint with the X3 is that it's not frequent enough for everyone to get on especially at peaks. Will it mean anything for the current X35 too which doesn't go into Cumbernauld apart from the Craiglinn Interchange?

The X3 is not being withdrawn.

The X35 is a midland bluebird route.

Glasgow changes are on hold.

I seen the article the Evening Times have came up with regarding the potential strikes. Sadly I do see them happening but the changes still going ahead anyway.

So I’m assuming ones that really go through the City Centre?

Not really, look at Lanarkshire for example. Typically it would be all routes on a 20 minute frequency or better, however this time round they've branded some routes on 30 minute frequencies.

Would be quite costly to do every service that's 20mins or better tbh. Not too many worse off than that anymore that are busy routes

Appears to be two B9TLs from Livi in blue. With highback seats . One was on 5 and other sitting at Caley

Route does not too badly i think . Is curtailed to Bridgeton ona sunday though.Still enters the LEZ zone

Yeah it's pretty busy most of the time I've used it. Strange to cut it after a 10min journey on a Sunday but I think it interworks with the 7A and 31 too going from what I've seen and heard

The 2 tone blue FSE and new livery FSE Gemini's are a permanent move to Caley they aren't just here for a repaint, the 2 tone blue ones will get repainted into the Glasgow livery but the recent repaints of the new FSE livery I can't see them touching it would be a waste of paint not really a big issue to be honest

First Glasgow would be better just pulling out of Cumbernauld altogether. They literally only have the X3 left which isn’t that frequent and most people from there get the train or drive. Plus Stagecoach seem to dominate there now given their depot is close by and First stopped caring about Cumbernauld a long time ago.

As for buses coming from FSE it’s good to see more B9TLs arrive however they need to continue with the B9TL refurbs. There are still many going around with old worn seat coverings and especially the ones coming front FSE - they are in a dreadful state. This annoys me with First they are so inconsistent. They start refurbing buses then stop, then move buses which have already been painted in a local area’s colours to another place defeating the purpose of the whole local livery. It’s almost like they have no forward planning they just live by the day.

I think they were originally intending for the Euro4's to receive the Euro6 exhaust upgrade, but it has been said that this is no longer happening, so it is probably not worth spending money on refurbishing them if they are to be going elsewhere within the next 3 years.

If a bus service is hitting it's financial targets they wont pull it off. They put modern buses with gold branding on the route about 2/3 years ago so it must being doing well enough to warrant the investment.

Stagecoach's ticket prices are pretty good probably due to First still having a small presence in the town but they keep tinkering with their routes which maybe tells us the guys at their Ayr HQ don't have much of a clue about Cumbernauld.

Pretty sure the X3 does OK – regularly see full buses in the evening peak. If it’s making money, they’ll keep it.

On the same note, I’ve seen a few very busy X1s in the evenings too. Maybe they’ll get rid of the daytime buses, but the peak buses seem to be doing well.

Of course the x1 does decently, of course it's just a very pro-first thing to consider removing the x1 if it's not busy during off peak, simply reduce the frequent off-peak.

Yeah the X3 can be busy through the day too plus there would be a lot of backlash if they got rid of it. The likes of Moodiesburn need more buses if anything with all of the new houses being built. Yeah the X1 is so quiet during the day and on a Saturday but the peak services would make easy profit if they stayed on

Is it just me or is the seating of the E300s in particular worsening quickly? Looked like the 1C I was on had 100 cats on it before I got it

It's Important to remember it not real leather, just an artificial material which is apparently eco friendly and merely looks real.

At 7 years worth of bums in the seats and not to mention people picking at the seats its caused more damage that if there were just moquette

Yeah definitely. Definitely must have been an increase in people picking at it because it's got a lot worse on the buses I've used in the last 2/3 months
