did it really leave 107E or is that a glitch?

If it was early, being ECS, nothing unusual if there is a path available :), or it may have reported leaving CP, but just gone over to the Low Level, to free up a bit of space / pick up the Driver closer to departure time.

The move is more substantially underway, should be crossing Trowse Swing Bridge around now.

Edited to add:
The move left GA service routes through Peterborough P7 at around 11.43 (1L).

Just seen on the RAIL website that the 37s are due to end on September 21:

https://www.railmagazine.com/news/fleet/greater-anglia-to-stop-using-class-37s-from-this-weekend

Is it possible to tell (e.g. from RTT) if/where they will be tomorrow or Saturday?

From an operational point of view, letting it go is just going to increase the number of short forms and cancelled services until they get 755s running in bigger numbers reliability.

Probably more about finances than anything else.

The 37s (and the coaches) weren’t the most reliable either. The Stadler units won’t be in the sidings forever, but the sooner there is some slack in the Crown Point fleet the better. Seems to be a lot of Mk3 coaches looking forlorn at Crown Point too.

Meanwhile a Stansted Express Stadler has caused some excitement, sitting as it does in the the yard at Parkeston.

The loco hauled fleet seems to have become somewhat chaotic again, after a few months of improvement. Almost every train is short-formed, at least one has first class vehicles mixed into the standard class section and at least one other has no buffet. The air-conditioning is notably lacking in some vehicles. And still trains are cancelled due to a train fault.
I can conclude only that there are so many coaches out of traffic with faults or awaiting exam that they have had to make a rake up by pinching a coach from most of the others.

Seems a real struggle to keep the service running at the moment. I guess all of the work at Crown Point and it being stuff with Stadlers has reduced capacity to keep on top of breakdown and emergent work on the old stock.

One wonders if we might see a rake of Mk2s hired in from one of the charter operations if the 745 introduction is delayed much longer.

Or perhaps some stock from the North Norfolk Railway...

Looking at journey check, at least 8 of the sets are short formed, at least 4 have no buffet vehicle (or the buffet is OOU for some reason) and at least 2 have no disabled seating area or toilet facility.
The Norwich-London service must be close to meltdown for lack of serviceable stock.

I've certainly noticed that the carriage letters have been jumbled on recent travels with multiple coach B etc.
One thing I find odd is more provision of a trolley service, even with a working buffet. I can't remember seeing a trolley at all in previous years.

There have been trolley only sets running around since the mid-90s. Lettering is not so important anymore as reservations suspended for at least six months. Only really B & J (great together ) that are important.

Had a 3 car 170 yesterday Ipswich-Peterborough which was a bit of a surprise (ie not the more oft used 2 car 170 or a 156).
Platform usage at Ipswich rather unexpected too. Felixstowes using P3 and the Peterborough using P2B.
Noticed that March Sidings seem to have been cleaned up. Are they being readied to receive displaced stock (in due course)?

Good to see that GA have tweeted out the final diagram of the 37s.

If the 170 transfer to Cardiff goes ahead tomorrow, next week could well be a challenging week.

It's the final day in passenger service for Class 37 locomotives at @GreaterAnglia. They are scheduled to be on the 08.36/10.36/12.37/17.41/19.33 Norwich to Great Yarmouth and return and the 14.05/15.50 Norwich to Lowestoft and return. Enjoy!

Gosh there are loads now. Alphabet is out the window.

Been on one set with Coach B on one exterior, C on another, D on the inside one end and E on the inside the other end, 3 quiet coaches, of which the one at the front that was not labelled a quiet coach was actually one, and the train manager being very confused about how to explain what coach the quiet coach was!

It was throwback night at Great Yarmouth as 4 Class 37s were spotted there at the same time during the evening peak. Colas 37057 & 37116 visiting with a test train, joining 37424 and 37409 on the short set.

One set I travelled on this week had 2 x disabled Firsts at the London end and another First (not disabled) in the middle of the standards!

It's like an episode of Countdown. Any suggestions for a 9 letter word using just B to K? Then get Crown Point to shunt it together.
I'd say more like an episode of 8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown, with Joe Wilkinson (who deliberately acts chaotic & mucks about) replacing Rachel Riley (who actually knows what she's doing).
Only this time, there's no deliberation.

That be a good picture. It's great when you see the 37's beside the Flirts too
