There's a good chance this is the last year. They will be replaced by 222s, whether that is 2020 or 2021 is not known yet. As the HSTs will still be around but with LNER trailers, it may still be those next year as it won't require any training for crews.

I thought the 222s were not cleared for Skegness.

very pleasant runs this saturday (last day of service) - buffet car on the early service (but not on the later return) - and no vestibule 'guards' to police droplights, just sensible announcements from staff about not leaning out of the windows.

One wonders how the service could be cost effective if the TOC opts to employ large numbers of people to 'police' open windows! Not least when the same trains run up and down the MML at speed every day with the same windows...

The MML doesn't have overgrown trees that might do you some serious damage.

Paid for by Network Rail due to overhanging vegetation not being cut back.
