Diss Station in Norfolk is served exclusively by intercity trains between Norwich and London. Are there any other examples of stations, which due to their location on main lines or otherwise, are only served by longer-distance intercity trains?

Cue another long digression into what constitutes ‘intercity’.

Market Harborough, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough are often mentioned. Penrith and Lockerbie perhaps. Berwick upon Tweed. Pewsey. Glad I am not adjudicating.

Pewsey, which was also the only station served exclusively by HSTs, and now it's the only station exclusively served by IETs.

I think places like South Wigston and that around leicestershire are only called at by Crosscountry rather than EMR but i may be outdated on my info

Both are served by Northern, who most people wouldn't class as intercity. Although both Newcastle and Durham are cities.
Easily forgettable though, as it's only a token service: 3 early morning services northbound, 1 late evening service southbound. The main service at Chester-le-Street is provided by TPE.

I was about to suggest that eventually Berwick-upon-Tweed will be IET only. But there’ll be 2 TPX services a day there from December.
There are also plenty of XC services calling at Berwick.

A bit off topic but always wonder why GWR services west of Cardiff call at Bridgend,Neath etc when there are local trains.

Do any Turbos still operate between Oxford and Worcester? If not I'd say that route

Not quite, Diss is served by one all stations local train that runs from Norwich to Ipswich, a total distance of just over 46 miles, calling at Diss and Stowmarket. Just because it is currently LHCS with old MKIIIs, that doesn't make it Inter-City, (and Ipswich is only a town anyway). When the LHCS stock is replaced with EMUs, that service might just be a regular outer suburban unit.

Berwick is I believe the only station on the ECML that is served not just only by intercity stock, but only by 125mph capable stock. There can’t be many other stations around the country that are only served only by the fastest domestic trains.

You could add Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Market Harborough to that - all services (until the wires go live) are run with either HSTs or Meridians.

Could you could SEHS for this, as if so Ebbsfleet International; and surely XC is Intercity (as is Liverpool to Norwich, some of which run via this route), so you can could Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Stamford?

Would Acton Bridge count?

While it doesnt see a service that is labelled as being an InterCity service people do use that service as one...

Does the LNwR service from Lime street to Birmingham count?

Until such time as Northern's York to Scarborough 'shuttles' start (if they ever do), Malton is served by only TPE (hopefully soon to be served by loco hauled Nova 3's only as well).

Every station from Holyhead to Conwy?

I know Holyhead to Cardiff, Llanelli, Birmingham etc are long distance and could possibly be classed as "intercity" but are trains that stop at places like Bodorgan, Ty Croes , Penmaenmawr really intercity? Or just long distance stoppers? In the spirit of the question I would suggest the OP means "intercity" as in limited stop services like Virgin, London - Glasgow etc.
