I'm trying to book a Night Jet 2 bed sleeper for Munich Hbf to Rome Termini for 30 September but can't get DB or Trainline to offer me anything other than standard seats.

I tried it for 30 October just in case the 30 September one was fully booked but couldn't do that either.

Any thoughts?

Yes I'd try booking direct. It can be a little fiddly with their website to get what you want but whenever I've been pricing trips up its always been able to give me what I wanted eventually.

The ÖBB website just gives me the seats as well for the 30th September so it could be that the sleeper is fully booked because it offered the sleeper on another date.

It might well be fully booked - the sleepers are very popular and it's a holiday weekend.

Oops! Sorry, I read 30 October, thinking of All Saints'. But certainly I've found NJ sleepers booked out 2-3 months in advance, at least the deluxe ones which I prefer at my age :)
