Do the bay platforms at Exeters St Davids and Central have anything? (Think they're platforms 2 at both, but could be wrong!)

(That said, I understand that Exeter Central's bay platform was used by SWR during recent industrial action, but it's not in regular use)

Is Platform 3 at Perth ever used for passenger services? Answered that myself by checking RTT - yes it is used for a few early/late services.

Although they might be booked to use platform 3 doesn't mean the train will use platform 3 (and because Perth is "old school" signalling it won't update on RTT.

Exeter Central P1 sees use on Sundays with some Exmouth departures, there was one Okehampton service which used P2 at St Davids during the summer. I think there might be a XC service which uses P2 at St Davids?

Aberdeen 1 & 2 are only used for ECS moves, and 7S is only used as a passing loop these days.

1 & 2 at Aberdeen aren’t numbered. You’re right about 7S though, can’t recall the last time I saw a service using it as a stop.

Temple Meads platform 14. Yes, I know it's cheating as 'platform 14' is the name given to some office space in the old terminus building so it's not an actual platform but is called a platform. :)
By that token, Platform 5 (the bus stop) at Llandudno Junction is in the running too.

I'm surprised nobody's said Teesside Airport platform 2 yet. IBM platform 1 also counts.

If we're going for light rail, then I don't believe Mudchute platform 3 on the DLR sees any scheduled services, though I know it is used for reversing.

Are platforms 5 and 6 at Moorgate used any more?

Hooton station platform 1.
It sees some services now and again.
The parliamentary trains used to use P1 but regular bookings that actually run is practically zero

I was thinking of Teesside Airport but didn’t know which platform was out of use.

Newhaven Marine platform 3? (Though I don’t know if it’s officially still numbered)

Birkenhead North Platform 1 (the far side of the island) is only booked to be used by ECS moves from the depot. That said, I've known it used for set swaps and also for special events in New Brighton- a six car set only just fits and at the start of the year one end was blocked off following the clearance work for the new units.

Ditto Northfield! (and, until very recently, Barnt Green for 1 & 2)
Platforms 1 & 2 at Barnt Green have never been out of use. Before the Cross City trains started calling, platform 2 had 2 morning trains towards Worcester call and platform 1 had 2 afternoon trains from Hereford call.

Platforms 2 & 3 at New Malden, the fast line platforms. They’re numbered and have PIS screens, but also a rough gravel surface and uneven cable trunking.

Yeovil Pen Mill platform 2 is not used by passengers, but uses the same track as platform 1, so whilst trains to Bristol do technically stop there you can't alight onto the platform from the train.

No, I don’t think so.

It is used for the SuO Darlington services.

Incidentally, does anyone know why RTT gets the platform numbers wrong at Hartlepool? All the through trains show 1 till they are there when it shows a red 2. The terminating trains show 2.

Apologies, I may have the platform numbers wrong - I was referring to the old platform originally used for southbound services that has had the footbridge removed, not the bay platform.

Platforms 2 & 7 at Skegness. (5 & 6 are not used much either!)

Platform 2 is available for emergency use but has no booked traffic.

Platform 3 is available but has some infrastructure issues so after a number of years of being the preferred platform it's generally not used.

Platform 4 is the regular departure platform.

Platform 5 is used in the summer when two trains occupy the station - it was reinstated after a few years out of use a couple of years ago.

Platforms 6 and 7 are formally disused having been removed from the network, 6 is missing it's signal arms and both have the signal lamps disconnected. They don't have any TPWS equipment either.

Thank you for that. It has been a few months since I have been and I always seemed to be on 3 or 4 (I think once on 5)

The cross country service that uses Platform 2 at Exeter St David's is the 1005 Manchester Piccadilly - Exeter St David's and 1555 Exeter St David's to Manchester Piccadilly (weekdays only).

Adding to this only a 4 car Voyager will fit in Platform 2. This week the service was a 5 car and ran into Platform 4 then ran empty to Dawlish Warren and back into Platform 5 at Exeter St David's for the return working.
