Wild and almost certainly wrong guess: it's not about the International Island Games, is it? I gather that some of the participants in those, are not actually islands. Is the list, perhaps, of all the participants in said Games, which are in Europe other than the -- widest application -- British Isles; or maybe, all such participants which are (quasi)-political entities in their own right -- as opposed to, say, Gotland (sp.?), which is essentially just one district of Sweden among many, but happens to be an island? Heaven only knows by what tortuous figures of speech Latvia and Estonia would class themselves as islands... as said, I'm well over 95% sure that this answer is not the correct one.

I abhor emojis; I would never ask a question about them, would I?
I know, couldn’t help it sorry.
I think I’ve worked this out via google, but I’d never have got it so I’ll not say anything.

Were you as surprised as I was to find out that there are so many different ways of doing it? I was always satisfied with just one and don't use that very often.

Here's a hint: If you own a tweed jacket with leather elbow patches you should know the answer.

Dale -- I recall that you have a bit of a "thing" about geography teachers and their attire; that sent me Googling: if I understand rightly, the terms which you quote, are various map projections. Assuming that that is correct and the answer; honour requires me to say "open floor".

Will I ever be allowed to forget that? It was an innocent mistake that could happen to anyone; it was dark in the geography storeroom and I was just feeling for the light switch, I didn't know there was someone else in there.

Map projections is correct, see https://map-projections.net/singleview.php for more bizarre examples.

Open floor it is...

It's been "open floor" since Wednesday -- I take it that it's OK for me to have a go now.

There's a much-loved nonsense song from South Wales (in English) -- Crawshay Bailey; after the nineteenth-century industrialist who operated in those parts. The song however ascribes to him, ownership of an engine which "always needed mending"; and tells of a large assortment of eccentric relatives of his -- plus a number of verses about "none of the above".

Three of his relatives in the song -- who get a verse apiece -- are listed below. General indication requested, re what's said about each in the verse about him / her. "Virtual bonus points" for quoting verses in their entirety; not obligatory, though.

Brother Norwich
Little sister Lily
Auntie Anna

This looks like a rhyming thing, how about...

Brother Norwich - ate his porridge
Little sister Lily - was very, very silly
Auntie Anna - would do anything for a tanner (6d)
or
had a face like a bag of spanners
