Have spent a couple of evenings at Stratford and a couple of questions arise

The Eurostar match wagons. Where are they kept and how clear are their numbers? Saw one outside but could see anything on it.
Why with so many 345 units sitting idle are TFL still using 315 units?

I've no idea what a match wagon is but maybe someone else can answer that

I believe this may be due to the class only being cleared to use a few of the platforms at Liverpool Street?

Nope, nothing to do with Liverpool St platform working. They are cleared for 5 to 14. It’s all explained in the class 345 thread.

Because the main platforms used at Liverpool Street by TfL Rail (15-18) can only take 8 coaches, so the 9 coach units would be limited to what platforms they can use.

Yes - I got one to Ilford at lunchtime today , and there were at least 4 in peak service coming back. And they are in good condition.

So is seems my mention of match wagons wasn't clear so to be specific I mean the 4 Eurostar Barrier Vehicles 96380 - 384.
One was sat outside Temple Mills but with both dirt and the wire fencing could make out any numbering.
