Could someone please clarify what the Terms and Conditions are for the GWR Train Driver harmonisation please? I am of the understanding that all drivers across the business will be on one salary but what do the company want for that?

Many thanks,

Basically those who voted for harmonisation - the former west and LTV drivers, have sold their souls (and the souls of HSS drivers along with it), in order to be on the same pay. That s where it ends. There is a bigger divide than ever now, I've never known such a disharmonious period in my time on the railway at great western.

Inaccurate and unhelpful. But what else could we have expected from Plymouth

I appreciate there is internal politics regarding this matter however, please can you be more specific on what the harmonisation now entails regarding spare movement and Sunday being part of the working week?

Sunday isn't part of the working week. But they're committed overtime. 1in3 so around 16/17 a year.

Spare movement is +/- 2hrs from datum. Can be moved up to 48hrs in advance without your prior agreement, after that resources will need to ask. Daily sheets are usually published 6days in advance.

Annual leave is 32days. Varies by depot but generally is 4 rostered weeks and the rest floating days. Floating days booked by genius mobile, and the number of ad-hocs you can have off at once again varies by depot. Obviously the larger the depot the more people can have leave at once.

Ignore the internal politics. HSS are bitter they're being left behind as the business and the grade moves forward. In any case, West is Best

Thank you for your honesty on this. I am currently awaiting a course start date for Reading.
