Hello.

I thought this would be a good thread idea, and I'm honestly surprised nobody else has done it. Essentially it's just the timetables from different heritage railways piled into a thread for ease.

Timetables for September 21 2019

East Lancashire Railway
- Running a Green Timetable (Steam Services)
- Operating today is 80080 (Probably, don't fact check me!)

Mid Hants Railway
- Running a Dark Blue timetable (Two Train Service Timetable)
- Operating today is 30506 and 925

Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway
- Running a Steam Timetable
- Operating today is N/A (Again, nothing that I can find)

Bluebell Railway
- Running a Service 3 Timetable
- Operating today is 80151, 73082 and 65

West Somerset Railway
- Running a Blue Timetable (Both Steam and Diesel)
- Operating today is Class 150 shuttle, N/A (The only information I could find was the shuttle)

I hope this proves useful to some people, hopefully the idea of this thread may kick off and actually provide something helpful!

https://preservation.watercressline.co.uk/roster suggests otherwise
Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd: 30506 - SR S15 Class & 925 - SR Schools Class ‘Cheltenham’

Don't get me wrong - it would be great to have a single source for this sort of information but I suspect it isn't really practical to compile on a daily basis (and not all railways list it out anyway). Most people are limited in how far they can travel on a whim to get an operating locomotive anyway.

Thanks Jonathan for correcting the Mid Hants Railway information, as you said S15 & Schools running this weekend. Diesel support always on standby at the MHR, with qualified drivers. Need to be careful with Watercress Line, as currently on a temporary timetable, until Butts Bridge Alton bridge replacement possession completed. Normal Alresford to Alton service will resume late October hopefully, only three months late, when we can bash 'The Alps' again.

I don't plan to add stuff just on my own, hopefully other people can add stuff to make it more worthwhile.

What we need is for a suitably technically qualified person with the time and inclination to make a website which automatically 'scrapes' the different HR websites** to produce list of what is running and when on any given day, without manual intervention. I'd certainly find it useful!
Even if it just produced a simple list of which railways are running it would be useful.

I'm a technical person myself, and just retired, so this would be a good project for me, but unfortunately my technical expertise was in the gnarly old IBM mainframe field, so not very relevant.:E However, I might have a mess around with some Linux scripting and try to learn about the 'wget' and 'curl' tools (I've got a *little* experience in this area so I at least know these exist and are relevant), just for my own interest, to see if I can come up with anything useful.

If I come up with anything, even if very primitive, I'll post some info here. It won't be a website but it might be a script others could use for various purposes.

** Preferably with agreement/permission!
